Autumn burns

This was a ho burn with trees putting out epicormic growth and the tops scorched.

Trees in a burn on Pfeiffers Track, Daylesford are already putting out epicormic growth after the tops were scorched.

If you haven’t caught up with the changes which took effect on 1 January 2015 DEPI has been split into  DELWP (Department of Environment Land Water and Planning) and DEDJTR (Department of Economic Development Jobs Transport and Resources).

DELWP is still responsible for fuel reduction burns and autumn burning has begun with some burns undertaken around Spargo Creek, Blackwood and Daylesford. Check the website before going into the bush. These may be good places to visit in the spring.
