Jewel spiders have taken over the shade house again, this seems to happen each summer. They appear to like to all get together and make their webs which then intermingle so it is hard to move without touching one. These spiders are fairly small but quite pretty and fearsome at the same time. They are also known as Christmas or spiny spiders.
On the step into the shade house was one of the hundreds of garden skinks that seem to have taken over the garden. This one is looking quite plump. There are also lots of small skinks that must have hatched out only recently.
Another interesting thing to see in the shade house was a collection of slugs hiding in a zucchini flower. Now there is confirmation of what has been eating the new zucchinis.
