Lake Burrumbeet, pelicans and views

Looking across Lake Burrumbeet

In the last week of February we went to Lake Burrumbeet to see what birds were about. It was an ideal day and the water was calm. The views were great and the red gums are magnificent and worth a trip on their own.

The slow flight of about a dozen pelicans against a view of the distant hills was beautiful.

You can gain access through and behind the caravan park or from the southern end. If it has been raining then don’t try to venture around the western side.
